Project # 1 Overview

Western Union is seeking a technology partner to create and build a new POS experience for its retail customers. The goal of the new platform is to provide an intuitive experience for FLA’s while reducing overall transaction time. The estimate provided in this proposal focuses around the following core features:

  • Terminal setup & configuration

  • Send Money (Cash or Debit)

  • Receive Money (Cash)

  • Baseline admin features & support channels (chatbot)

Project #2 Overview

Western Union is seeking a technology partner to build a Digital Signature Pad application for the Clover POS platform that will allow the NextGen POS system to leverage Clover hardware and handle customer-facing activities. After triggering a customer-facing activity, the NextGen POS will make API calls to a middle layer service that will manage the interactions at the device-level.

The estimate provided outlines the key steps of the platform build based on the screenshots shared and initial high level architecture of the flows. The focus of the build will be to deliver core workflows seamlessly for the Demo Day in mid-October, with follow on development for deployment post-demo.

Project #3 Overview

Western Union is seeking to deploy the Phoenix Peripheral Android application to additional devices beyond the Clover platform to help diversify the supported devices and open the new solution to a wider, more international userbase. For this proposal, the Verifone M424 device has been used as the initial device for deployment, and the estimate provided can be applied to additional devices with similar technical specifications.
