DonorsChoose
DonorsChoose helps nearly 40 million public-school students gain access to the resources they require to succeed in education through donations. To help increase donations for DonorsChoose, Infuse built a Clover app, providing access to secure donations from Clover’s massive merchant pool.
The Challenge
DonorsChoose received a grant from the Gates Foundation with the challenge to invest in digital fundraising solutions to increase giving. The organization saw a large opportunity to engage with local SMBs by way of their point-of-sale technology, and needed a partner familiar with the tech to help bring this vision to life.
The Solution
Infuse developed “DC’s RoundUp for Schools,” an application that allows a customer to make a small donation to a school of the merchants choosing.
Currently the application allows a customer to “round up” their purchase to the nearest whole dollar (as in $4.51 purchase would donate $0.49 to a given school). Currently, the Clover merchant selects the specific school that they would prefer to receive the charitable donations, but ultimately DonorsChoose makes the final decision as to which school receives the donations.
