Altria is contracted with over 130,000 convenience stores and fuel stations around the United States, the majority of which are large chains with robust automated reporting systems that allow them to participate in Altria’s Scan Data and Multi Unit Discount incentive programs.
However, at the time of its first meeting with Infuse, around 40,000 contracted stores ran their business using old/analog methods, excluding them from participating in discount programs Altria provides.
That’s where Infuse stepped in.
The Challenge
While the majority of Altria’s contracts (over 130,000 convenience stores and fuel stations) boast a robust automated reporting system, there were nearly 40,000 convenience stores that were running their businesses using old analog methods, a sometimes insurmountable hurdle that prevents Altria discount program participation.
The Solution
To solve this challenge, Infuse created dezi.
Dezi allows a merchant to set up their Scan Data and Multi Unit Discount programs that are compliant with Altria’s specifications as well as automatically create and send the correct CSV file to Altria’s C3M-insights SFTP site for the merchant.

The Outcome
Currently, Dezi handles over 1.5 Million transactions per run (once a week) in real-time without any persistent storage of info.
Dezi helped fill the gap between Altria and “C-store” locations. Now, with a Clover Station 2018 and Clover Mini, Dezi users can:
